Authentic leaders talking openly about themselves and their journey so far

Irish-born Bronagh Kennedy owes much to her mum – brought up by a single parent and in a poor area of North Belfast, Bronagh and her two brothers were exposed to an enriched life; one of experience and opportunity rather than financial.
It was on one such occasion, during a self-funded school trip to London, that Bronagh visited The Old Bailey; describing this as her “light bulb moment.” Qualifying as a solicitor some years later, Bronagh’s career journey has seen her successful rise within the competitive legal world.
She talks with simplicity and honesty about the guidance of your moral compass; how she works as a team hand-in-hand with her husband as they manage their dual careers with family life; and the NED roles she embraces alongside her full time position.
Bronagh is Group Company Secretary and General Counsel of Severn Trent Plc - a FTSE 100 company serving a population of 7.7 million and focussed on delivering the best quality drinking water and returning waste water safely to the environment today, tomorrow and for the long term. It charges the lowest average bills to customers in England and Wales.
Bronagh is the Executive sponsor for the Severn Trent Diversity Group and a member of the Two Percent Club. She has over 25 years experience as a lawyer specialising in commercial law and was also HR Director and responsible for health and safety, insurance and internal audit, as well as the communications team at Mitchells and Butlers, one of the leading branded pub retailing businesses in the UK employing 48,000 people.
Bronagh is married with two children.
