A woman who had more work experience by the time she was 20, than most of us have in a lifetime, Roisin was brought up and educated in Glasgow. During her final year at Strathclyde University she joined Asda and embarked on their graduate training programme; an organisation she worked for until joining Greggs in January 2010.  
Offered her first senior role whilst on maternity leave, Roisin talks about the professional decisions she had to make as a new mum, with the support of her husband, and the personal crisis’ "team Currie" had to deal with when both she and her young daughter became very poorly. With passion and pride, Roisin shares the strong and admirable community spirit of the Greggs Foundation of which she is a board member.

Official Biography

Roisin was brought up and educated in Glasgow, where she stayed to read Business Law and Business Administration at Strathclyde University, gaining a 2:1. After leaving University she joined Asda and embarked on their Graduate training programme. Her first 3 years gave her a thorough grounding in operational retail roles and she then moved into various HR roles in Scotland and then moved down to the South West Of England, where she took on the role of Divisional People Manager, looking after 70 stores.

In 2002, Roisin relocated to Leeds and took on the role of Head of Reward at Asda Head Office. After 3 years in this role, she moved on to become Retail People Director and 2 years later to become Distribution People Director.

Roisin joined Greggs as Group People Director in Jan 2010. In her current role Roisin is responsible for all of the traditional HR areas of expertise and the Foundation team – Greggs Charity team.  She is also a trustee on the Foundation Board.
